Autumn
Stringam
d. Jan 12, 2026
Autumn Dawn Stringam, age 52, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026 in her Nampa, Idaho home after a long battle with Stiff Person Syndrome. She was born in Trail, British Columbia on January 28, 1973 to Anthony Frederick Stephan and Debora Cornellia Starr Prete. She grew up in many areas of northern Alberta, Canada. After meeting her husband, Dana Ray Stringam, at her boyfriend's house in Edmonton, the two quickly married just 5 months later. Her love for art, sewing, baking, and other homemaking talents grew as she welcomed her 4 children, James, Samantha, Melanie, and Meagan, into this world. She lived a life full of service, love, generosity, and charity. She welcomed those of all walks of life into her Nampa, Idaho home where she resided for the past 17 years. She was an artist when it came to sewing, and she sewed prom dresses, bridesmaid dresses, and wedding dresses for her daughters as well as many others. She was a jack of all trades with the ability to accomplish whatever she set her mind to, whether that was painting a landscape of the Cardston Temple where she was sealed to Dana, sculpting beautiful trees from fabric, baking and decorating elaborate wedding cakes, sewing countless theater costumes for local productions, or writing and publishing a personal memoir and essay book. She dedicated years of her life to service in the community, helping to establish JustServe in the Treasure Valley area. She had a trademark smile with bright, beautiful eyes and a welcoming presence that always made you feel at ease. Many would say she truly was a representative of Jesus Christ. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by husband, Dana; her children, James, Samantha, Melanie, and Meagan; and her six grandchildren, Alana, Elias, Enoch, Rebeca, Leland, and Lawrence. She is preceded in death by her mother, Debora, and is survived by her father, Tony, her step-mother, Barbara, and her siblings Linda, Angela, Sunny, Daniel, Bradford, David, Joseph, Jeremy, Celeste, Joshua, Emily, and step-sister Jennifer. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 607 W. Locust Lane, Nampa, ID 83686. A viewing will take place at 10AM prior to the service.
