Obituary for Jim T Moore
James "Jim" Moore 1943 - 2019
James “Jim” Theodore Moore passed away at his home in Placerville, Idaho on Saturday, June 8, 2019. Born on November 19, 1943, Jim was the first-born son of Theodore “Ted” Medellin & Ora Lorraine Wride, both of Aberdeen, Idaho. Jim’s younger brother, Kirk, joined the family in 1946. Ted & Ora divorced, and Ora’s two boys were adopted by her second husband, Wilford “Bill” Moore, and the family lived in Boise.
Jim served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany, during the Vietnam War. Jim married Joylene Hodges, and together they had one daughter, Jami Jo Moore, born May 11, 1972.
In 1974, Jim married Vicki Young (Skaug), and they moved to Logan, Utah. They shared one daughter, Erin Maria Moore, born January 9, 1978 (the day after Elvis Presley’s birthday). Being an avid Elvis (AARON) Presley fan, Jim eagerly named his newborn daughter after him.
Jim & Vicki later divorced and Jim moved back to Idaho, working in construction. In the mid 1980’s, he moved up into the mountains of Placerville, Idaho (population 50) where he became the self-proclaimed “Log God” building beautifully handcrafted log homes. He was a hard worker, and a very talented and creative builder. He was always up for a good laugh and cracking jokes!
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Ora (Wride) Moore, and his adoptive father, Wilford “Bill” Moore. He is survived by his brother, Kirk Moore (Sherron), of Nampa, Idaho; and two nieces, Katie (Moore) Denning & Becka (Moore) Thompson.
Jim leaves behind his two daughters: Jami (Moore) Stachler of Moscow, Idaho; and Erin (Moore) Maes of Logan, Utah; and stepson, Charlie Skaug of Nampa, Idaho. Jim is also survived by seven grandchildren: Dathan Joseph, Daulton James, DaNae Joylene & Mariah Nichole, of Idaho; and Marcus Lorenzo, Amaya Zea & Quincy James, of Logan, Utah. Jim also has three great-granddaughters: Kiera Marie, Adalynn May & Ryiah Jo.
I thought I was stronger than a word, but I just discovered that having to say goodbye to you is by far the hardest thing I've ever had to do! RIP, dad. ~Jami

A small graveside service will be held at the Placerville Cemetery on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 1:00 pm. All friends and family are welcome to attend. Services are under the direction Zeyer Funeral Chapel.
